Mission Statement:
The mission of the Antioch Police Department Special Enforcement Team (SET) is to make a positive difference in the lives of all citizens of the community of Antioch through proactive and community based law enforcement efforts. Members of the Unit will remain responsive to the needs of all citizens and seek solutions to problems through the fostering of cooperation, positive contact with the public and proactive methods. The members of the unit will strive to achieve our highest potential as confident, competent, and caring partners with the community as we come together in the fight against drug activity and gang crime.
Focus:
• Street level drug sales
• Gang related crimes
• Repeat offenders
• Special events-carnivals etc.
• Provide assistance to Investigations
• Provide assistance to SRO
• Establish communication with business owners and landlords-Housing Authority
• Gather intelligence regarding drug/gang activity
• Promote community involvement through anonymous TIPS line
